Burj al-arab Hotel




Burj al-Arab (Arabic: برج العرب, "Tower of the Arabs") is a luxury hotel located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Building the Burj al-Arab, designed by Tom Wright, reaches a height of 321 meters and is the tallest building is fully used as a hotel. This building stood on an artificial island located 280 m offshore in the Persian Gulf. Burj al-Arab is owned by Jumeirah.

The hotel is often referred to as seven-star hotel. This is considered a hyperbole by the people in the field of tourism. This is also seen as a way to "beat" the other hotels who called the six-star hotel. Unfortunately, almost all the hotel rating system in the world has a limit of five stars. According to the official site Burj al-Arab, the hotel is there a "five-star hotel Delux".

Construction of Burj al-Arab began in 1994 and opened to visitors on December 1, 1999. The design took the form of the display of a Dhow. Close to the peak, there is a helipad and restaurant Al Muntaha, which means Supreme in Arabic, on the other side who was arrested by the cantilever above the sea. One unique element is the atrium wall facing the beach; made of fiberglass fabric coated with Teflon. The interior was designed by Khuan Chew.

Burj al-Arab also has the highest atrium lobby in the world, 180 meters high. Atrium may surround the World Trade Center Building Dubai is 38 floors tall, the tallest building in Dubai from the late 1970s until the mid-1990s.
