Alexandria, a historic city in Egypt

Alexandria is the bride and the pearl of the Mediterranean sea, It was built by Alexander the great after ascending the throne of Egypt to act as his new capital and to connect Greece and Egypt , Alexandria was the main capital for Egypt during the time of the Greeks and Romans.

Fort Qait-Bey, Alexandria.

This fort, standing approximately on the spot where the great Lighthouse of Alexandria once rose, and probably incorporating some of the stones from it, today overlooks the Eastern Harbor. The fort was built by the Mamluk ruler of Egypt, Qait-Bey, between 1468-1496.
