Mai Po on the northwest coast of the New Territories, neighbouring the Deep Bay, is the China's 7th Lamma Marshland which is a series of shrimp and fish ponds, and endless stretch of mangrove forest and the muddy swampland a paradise for birds and invertebrate and also a resting-place for migratory birds after making an arduous long journey.
